Somewhere along the way, every app on your phone decided it was a landlord. Your link in bio charges rent. Your calendar charges rent. Give it a year and your coffee mug will ask for your card details.

If you sell calls (coaching, lessons, consults, “pick my brain” sessions), you’ve probably ended up with the classic pair: Linktree to hold your links and Calendly to take the bookings. Both are good at what they do. But nobody adds up what Linktree and Calendly cost together, so we did, with prices read off their own pricing pages. Then we looked for a cheaper alternative to the pair. Spoiler: it’s one page.

The short answer

Taking paid bookings with Linktree + Calendly costs $120 to $288 a year billed yearly, depending on how much of Linktree’s logo you can stand on your own page. That’s before Stripe’s cut, and before you’ve earned a cent.

One shinetree page does both jobs for $0 a year plus 8% of paid sessions on Starter, or $144 a year with 0% fee and no logo on Pro.

What Linktree + Calendly cost a year

Here’s the pair in its usual shape, priced on yearly billing because it’s cheaper and we’re trying to be nice to the combo.

  • Linktree Starter: $84 a year ($7 a month billed yearly, $9 monthly). It’s Linktree’s cheapest paid plan. Your page works on the free plan too, so you could skip this line and keep Linktree’s logo on your page. Hold that thought; it comes back.
  • Calendly Standard: $120 a year ($10 a month billed yearly, $12 monthly). Calendly’s free plan can’t take payments and gives you one event type, so “free intro call + paid session” already needs Standard. Calendly doesn’t take a cut on top. The money goes straight to your Stripe or PayPal.
  • Stripe: about 2.9% + 30¢ per payment. Every tool in this post uses Stripe, including us, so this line is the same everywhere. Stripe is like gravity: nobody escapes it.

Total: $204 a year before you take a single booking, or $252 billed monthly. Stay on Linktree Free and it’s $120, logo included. Want the logo off your page? That’s Linktree Pro, and the pair comes to $288 a year. Three prices for the same two jobs, which is a lot of menu for a sandwich.

Can Linktree take paid bookings on its own?

It can! Linktree added its own Bookings this year, which is a bit like your favourite bakery starting to do haircuts. Lovely of them. Here’s what you get, going by Linktree’s own pages:

  • Taking money needs Pro or above. On Free and Starter, every booking has to be free. Pro is $14 a month billed yearly ($168 a year), or $17 monthly. Remember “hold that thought”? Here it is: the moment you want Linktree to take the bookings itself, Free and Starter are out and you’re on Pro.
  • Google Calendar only. Live in Apple Calendar or Outlook? Enjoy copying things across by hand.
  • Google Meet for the call. Their help article says Meet. Their feature page also mentions Zoom. It’s a mystery box, and you find out after you’ve paid.
  • No group sessions that we could find. One person at a time, like a very exclusive nightclub with a very short queue.

So $168 a year buys one-to-one calls on Google Calendar, from a link page that learned bookings last year. There’s a cheaper way to get both jobs done, and it comes at them from the other direction.

The cheaper alternative: one page for bookings and links

shinetree started as a booking tool, and it also happens to be a link in bio. Your sessions sit at the top of your page, your links sit under them, and people book and pay you in the same place they found you.

Hailey, our demo coach: sessions to book up top, links underneath. One page, one link in her bio.

Two plans matter here:

  • Starter: free. Unlimited bookings, free sessions always free, and an 8% fee only on sessions people pay for. If you earn nothing in a month, you pay nothing that month. Imagine that.
  • Pro: $12 a month billed yearly ($144 a year), or $15 monthly. 0% fee, no shinetree branding, booking questions, automatic reminders.

Put Pro next to Linktree Pro: $24 a year less, and it adds group sessions, Zoom and Discord, Apple and Google calendars, and people making offers on your time. More, for less. We checked twice, because it felt rude.

The pair charges you to be ready for bookings. One page charges you when the bookings arrive.

So who should keep the pair?

In fairness, two kinds of people:

  • People who never charge for calls. Linktree Free plus Calendly Free costs $0. Then again, free sessions are free on shinetree too, with one login instead of two. So, even then.
  • Sales teams booking product demos. Calendly is priced per seat for companies, with Outlook and Microsoft Teams built in. If that’s you: hello, and how did you end up on a creator blog?

Everyone else selling their own time is running a booking business with a list of links attached, not the other way round. Your tools should know that. Here’s what that looks like: who’s booked, which times have offers waiting, and what’s coming in, all in one place, no second app.

Quick answers

Is Linktree worth it if you sell calls?

Only on Pro or above, since Linktree's Free and Starter plans can take free bookings but not paid ones. Pro is $14 a month billed yearly ($168 a year) and works with Google Calendar only. For $144 a year, shinetree Pro takes paid bookings with Zoom, Google Meet or Discord, Apple and Google calendars, and group sessions, and its free plan takes paid bookings too.

Does Calendly take a fee on paid bookings?

No. Calendly doesn't take a cut; the money goes to your Stripe or PayPal and only Stripe's own fee applies. The catch is that payments need Calendly's Standard plan, $10 a month billed yearly or $12 monthly, because the free plan has one event type and no payments.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Linktree and Calendly together?

Yes: one page that does both jobs. shinetree is free to start with an 8% fee only on sessions people pay for, or $12 a month billed yearly on Pro with 0% fee. That's $0 to $144 a year against $120 to $288 for the pair, with one login instead of two.

How much do Linktree and Calendly cost together per year?

Between $120 and $288 a year, billed yearly, as of October 2026. Linktree Free plus Calendly Standard is $120 with Linktree's logo on your page, Linktree Starter plus Calendly Standard is $204, and Linktree Pro plus Calendly Standard is $288. Stripe's fee of about 2.9% + 30¢ per payment comes on top in every case.
